There were items misplaced after the ROB THE CLEANERS! session last week. The cleaners got a scolding from their supervisors on the day itself, and we found out that a KARCHER industrial vacuum cleaner had gone missing. After a few students spoke to the cleaning manager, Uncle Rahman, we came to a realization that the school maintenance crew was affected by the activity too. More inconvenience was caused and hence we had this issue addressed at the start of class this week. The classes in the cluster were told to come up with some plans to resolve the situation, but were unable to look beyond paying in monetary or material means - they thought because all cleaners were low income earners, they could make up by getting baby powder and pampers for the family to get by. But at the end of the day, it doesn't resolve or answer the bigger picture of the main concern. They ought to apologize sincerely to the superiors of those who have been directly affected. And this came from a lot of prompts from the cluster's lecturers. A decision was made and two letters had to be written in both English and Malay by each class by the cleaning crew's manageer, and the class that misplaced the vacuum cleaner had to write another two more addressed to the superiors of the maintenance crew. Another apology letter found in students' books
