Kusamakura (草枕 lit. "grass pillow") is a standard phrase used in Japanese poetry to signify a journey. This piece of the same name was inspired by the mention in the book, In Praise of Shadows, which relates the grass pillow to the writings of the novelist Natsume Sōseki.
Kusamakura was made for an open call by POPIN.
It is now showing at CRISS*CROSS public exhibition at The Art House until 12 January 2014.
